Our Story

We Work in all The Counties In the Coastal Region To Strengthen equality

Pwani One Shilling Foundation (POSF) was founded in the year 2013 as an offshoot of ONE SHILLING FOUNDATION, a Nairobi based charitable organization that started in 2009. The original idea was that every Muslim pays at least one shilling a day. Its main objective is to help uplift the standard of life of the Community by channeling members’ and well wishers’ contributions, donations and alms to various development projects such as education, empowerment, peaceful co-existence, Da’awah, health etc. Partners have been very instrumental in the mobilization of resources that fund these projects.

help us achieve our goal!

With over ten million Muslims in Kenya, should each Muslim donate a shilling a day it translates to general ten million shillings in a day. (At the end of the week it translates to seventy million and at the end of the month is about three hundred million). The amount can be used to implement all the targeted projects as well as support initiatives geared towards poverty alleviation.
