POSF being a non-funded charity organization and implements its projects while purely dependent of well-wishers and donors, it is faced with financial difficulties to raise large sums of money to fund and sustain its projects. It is in this regard that a WAQF was started to establish projects whose income shall be utilized to fund other POSF projects that are provided to the community at no cost which includes education and humanitarian services.
In the effort to establish an endowed WAQF, POSF is in the process of acquiring a land of 0.92 acreage in Kilifi town near the prison at a cost of Kshs. 3.4million, where a part payment of Kshs. 340,000 has been made with a balance pending of Kshs. 3.06million. This land that shall see an establishment of a four storey residential and business premise costed at an approximation of Kshs. 40 million.
