The Pwani one shilling foundation was established with one of the objective being to support the development of education in underprivileged areas of the coastal region of Kenya.
One day, we received a request from the small village of Chitsanze in Kwale County to help them build a Madrasa for the local children. The village was situated in a remote area and had limited resources, and the children had to travel several kilometers to attend the nearest Madrasa. The foundation team immediately started working on the project and began to reach out to donors and supporters for their contributions.
The response was overwhelming, and soon, the foundation was able to raise enough funds to start the construction the Madrasa in the village. The team worked tirelessly to plan and execute the project, and in just a few months, they were able to complete the construction of a beautiful Madrasa building that would provide education to hundreds of children in the area
The new Madrassatul Nuur Hudaa Chitsanze, was inaugurated amidst much fanfare, and the foundation team was hailed for their achievement. The impact of the new Madrasa was immediately evident. Children who had previously struggled to attend due to the distance were now able to receive an education right in their own village. The school became a beacon of hope and opportunity for the entire community, and the foundation’s efforts were widely appreciated.
The Pwani one shilling foundation had succeeded in their mission of building donation by providing the resources and support needed to build a madrasa that would benefit the community for generations to come. This demonstrated that with dedication and commitment, it was possible to create a positive impact and bring about real change in underprivileged areas.
