CONTRIBUTIONS

Kshs 1 Million – was paid to students who had gone to Russia for studies but got stranded after their sponsor experience difficult economic times.

Kshs 3 Million – has been spent to sponsor over 48 students in different institutions to do Diplomas in port related courses , Preparing them for employment at the Kilindini and Lamu port.

Kshs 100,000 – Was used to help more than 10 needy students at Mikindani Teachers Training College by purchasing books and other necessary provisions. This was done to alleviate the shortage of IRE teachers.

Kshs 75,000 – ECDE training for Muslim girls to become Nursery school teachers.

Kshs 45,000 – Training of Imams so as to become computer literate.

Kshs 2.2 Million – Total amount spent for the last three years, training form four leavers in Technical Licence In ICT(TLICT),the students spend six months and we pay half the tuition fees.

Kshs 1.5 Million Total amount of bursaries paid to students pursuing studies in education(Bed)

Uplifting Madrassa and Masjid – Pwani One Shilling Foundation found -Madrasatul Hudaa in Chitsanze Kwale County in a poor condition. The Masjid was being used as a Madrasa and it did not have carpets. We were able to find donors for them and bought the carpets and since the Madrasa was still in construction we managed to organize a harambee together with the Masjid Committee and completed the construction of the Madrasa.

Madrasatul Furqan Al Islamiya in Shika Adabu was in a very poor condition as the children were learning on a sandy floor and the roofing was simply falling down. Pwani One Shilling Foundation was able to solicit donation from our partners and constructed the roofing and cemented the floor in order to give the children a better place for their education.
